About Me
Ms. Electra A. Holmes is an emerging public leader whose work spans public administration, constituent affairs, communications, education, and civic engagement. With an early interest in communications and philanthropy, Electra graduated from CUNY–Medgar Evers College with an Associate in Mass Communications and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration (Law & Public Policy). As a proud member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, she aspires to become a future political leader in the fields of constituent relations, education advocacy, media relations, and community empowerment. She is currently in pursuit of her Jurist Doctorate.
Across her professional and civic journey, Electra has developed strong skill sets in policy research, public speaking, stakeholder engagement, community outreach, event coordination, political communications, production, and advocacy. Her overall mission is to secure positions that align with her dedication to law, communications, political advancement, community service, media production, and people advocacy.
Ms. Electra’s career reflects her long-standing commitment to public service, communications and people-centered work. In 2023 she started her “Doin’ It In The Park,” enrichment series which aimed to bring together music production and public speaking. This was after working over a decade in New York City Department of Education as a Paraprofessional, supporting diverse learners and assisting in instructional delivery. She also served as a United Federation of Teachers Paraprofessional Representative, encouraging union participation and ensuring members stayed informed. Today, Electra continues her educational path as a Substitute Teacher in multiple charter schools. She’s also worked closely with individuals with disabilities as a Direct Support Professional, strengthening her skills in advocacy, patience, and human-centered service. Electra publishes her self-produced monthly newsletter under "TENetworks," where she highlights political updates, community resources, cultural events, and government initiatives. The publication has become a cornerstone of her communications work and leadership identity.
Her dedication to public service expanded significantly in 2020 when she answered the call during the COVID-19 relief efforts in Far Rockaway, helping distribute food to families in need. This experience deepened her passion for community stability, emergency response, and equitable service access. She has since volunteered in various state and city initiatives, including “The Rockaway Carnival,” and “Father’s Day Call to Mental Health” under Senator James Sanders, “The West Indian American Day Parade” under Assemblywoman Monique Chandler-Waterman, and “Old Tymers Day” under Assemblywoman Nikki Lucas, She supported Councilwoman Farrah Louis’ Juneteenth Teen-preneurship event; attended Senator Cordae’s unveiling of the Kool DJ Red Alert statue; joined the Queens Borough President’s Colombian Arts & Economics Celebration; participated in the Bronx Borough President’s 2nd Annual “Black2Sports” Community Basketball Game; and served as a DJ for iRock Charities’ Big Basketball Game Tournament, supported by Councilwoman Nantasha Williams. All streamed through her YouTube platform, also TENetworks.
Electra’s political and civic involvement has grown substantially. In 2023 she served as Volunteer Coordinator for the 2023 Judicial Special Election for The Honorable Turquoise Haskins, overseeing volunteer recruitment and canvassing operations. She continued to work as a Political Canvasser with North Shore Strategies and has worked on a broad range of high-impact campaigns, including:

As an active voice in local policy she has spoken at New York City Council hearings regarding rezoning and franchise proposals, advocating for transparency, community protection, and responsible development. Furthering her commitment to youth and educational empowerment, she launched “Steering Excellence”, an initiative geared towards positive community building.
